Media Intervention and Electoral Reform: Acts, Practice and Praxis: A comparative reflection was the theme of the maiden edition of the Wole Soyinka Centre Media Lecture series which was conceived and held first in 2008 as a platform for discourse on current issues particular to the Nigerian media and the role the media could play in upholding governance and social justice in the Nigerian state.
Prof. Harry Garuba of the African Institute, University of Cape Town, South Africa was on hand as the guest speaker and he drew attention to the criticality of the media aiding electoral reforms towards sustainable governance and development.
