    COVID 19: Kaduna IDPs and the Challenge of Water and Sanitation

    Stories about internally displaced persons anywhere in the world are usually ones that elicit empathy. These vulnerable individuals are forced to leave their comfort zones to environments where they become total strangers. IDPs, especially in Nigeria, struggle for basic things of life like food and shelter. Oftentimes, they are at the mercy of both local and international non-governmental organizations who provide them with relief materials. With the global coronavirus pandemic, the need for water and sanitation becomes expedient. The lack of which can affect the susceptibility of the general public. In this special report titled ‘COVID 19: Kaduna IDPs and the Challenge of Water and Sanitation’, Joke Fayemi examines the situation.
