The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) in partnership with The Canada Fund for Local Initiative (CLFI) will be hosting a one-day stakeholders meeting tagged ‘Elections 2023: Security, Media, and Safety symposium’.
Stakeholders will converge on Abuja to discuss how journalists engage security personnel and political parties regarding the protection of the Nigerian press.
Officials of security agencies and political parties are expected to join in drafting and adopting a landmark pact to protect journalists, and the press before, during, and after the elections.
The symposium will be on Tuesday, 31 January 2023 at the Treasures Suites in Central Area, Abuja. Interested participants can register here.
