The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Executive Assistant to support the Executive Director/CEO in advancing the organisation’s vision and mission.

Headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation that uses the mechanism of investigative reporting as a tool for accountable democracy, good governance and social justice.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Assistance:
- Provide high-level programmes, operations and administrative support to the Executive Director/CEO, including managing objectives and goals, schedules, correspondence, travel arrangements, and meeting preparation and execution.
- Oversee the implementation all programmes, ensuring alignment with the WSCIJ’s vision and objectives.
- Lead partnership and collaborative efforts for journalism, programmes and financial expansion.
- Serve as a liaison between the ED/CEO and internal/external stakeholders.
- Prepare and edit presentations, reports, evaluations, and other official documents.
- Coordinate key organisational events, meetings, and initiatives.
- Develop and manage programme timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
- Coordinate mentorship sessions, training workshops, and public presentations for the office of the ED/CEO and the organisation.
- Ensure the ED/CEO’s priorities and goals are effectively communicated and achieved.
Requirements
Education: Higher education
Experience: At least 5 years of experience (after NYSC) in executive assistance, programme management, non-governmental organisation, academia and or journalism/media-related roles.
Skills:

- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
- Proven capacity for data and knowledge management
- Familiarity with journalism, media and democracy issues
- Capacity to effectively handle digital media
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of new technologies related to the role
