Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Mass Communications, History, or a relevant field. An MSc/MA is a plus.
Experience:
- 7 years of post-NYSC work experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proven leadership experience in a similar position, including project strategy development, and implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of journalism, media, democracy and social justice.
- Contextual understanding of the past, present and future of journalism and investigative reporting in Nigeria and Africa in relation to global events.
- Prior experience in the nonprofit sector.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and spoken communication abilities.
- Track record in grant writing and fundraising.
- Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in team members.
- Commitment to learning, integrity, honesty, emotional intelligence, discipline, sincerity and teamspirit.
