WSCIJ joined our partners, the Netherlands in Nigeria, at the 2025 King’s Day celebration in honour of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The event, held on Friday, 25 April in Lagos, was part of an annual tradition to mark the monarch’s official birthday—observed this year on Sunday, 27 April—and highlighted the longstanding relationship between Nigeria and the Netherlands.
Hosted by the Consulate-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Nigeria, the occasion brought together representatives from government, the diplomatic community, civil society, and the private sector. The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) was in attendance, reinforcing our mutually beneficial partnership with the Netherlands and continued engagement with initiatives that support development and cooperation.
