Call for Applications: Media Monitoring Intern

The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our media monitoring efforts.

About the Internship

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in media monitoring and analysis. You will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring a variety of media sources (newspapers, online publications, radio, TV) for content relevant to WSCIJ’s areas of focus, such as investigative journalism, human rights, and anti-corruption.
  • Summarising and categorising key information from media reports.
  • Contributing to the creation and maintenance of media monitoring databases.
  • Assisting with research tasks related to media trends and coverage of specific issues.
  • Keeping yourself updated on current affairs and media developments in Nigeria.

  • A curious and self-motivated individual with a keen interest in current affairs and investigative journalism.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in using computers and comfortable navigating online databases.
