A multiple winner of the Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Journalism (Print), Samson Folarin has been awarded a Chevening Scholarship for his postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom.
The Features Editor of the Weekend Punch will be studying Investigative Journalism at the City University of London for the current academic year among other 43 Chevening scholars for 2023/2024 academic session.
Among other awards won by the graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, he has also won the Print Journalist of the Year at the Nigeria Media Merit Award (2019), and the Investigative Reporter of the Year at the Nigeria Media Merit Award in 2018, 2020, and 2021.
